4th Irish Heart Foundation Tour Of The Midlands with Sean Kelly

The Sean Kelly tour of the Midlands The Irish Heart Foundation  Tour of the Midlands with Sean Kelly will take place on Sunday the 2nd of October 2016. This event is now the biggest charity cycle in the midlands and incorporates two major cycles of 120km Slieve Bloom Challenge and the 80km Kelly Cut Challenge. We will also have a 12KM Family Spin and registration will be on the day for the 12km cycle. All proceeds goes towards the fight against heart disease and stroke.

Where: Tullamore Harriers Sports Arena, Tullamore, Co. Offaly

 Route Details

The Kelly Slieve Bloom Challenge 120km:

Start time : 8.15

This route takes in two climbs in the Sieve Blooms Mountains

Route:- Starting from the Tullamore Harriers Centre > Killeigh>Rosenallis>Clonaslee>The Cut  (7.2km at 5%)>The Wolftrap (3km at 9%)>Kinnity (Food Stop in Kinnity Community Centre)>Birr>    Cloghan>Boora>Blueball> Tullamore >finishing at the Tullamore Harriers Centre.

The Kelly Cut  80km

Start time: 9am Sunday

This route takes in the flatter roads around the base of the Slieve Blooms, before joining with the 120km route in Kinnity.

Route:– Starting from The Tullamore Harriers Centre>Killeigh>Clonaslee>Kinnity (Food Stop in Kinnity Community Centre)>Birr>Cloghan>Boora>Blueball>Tullamore>finishing at the Tullamore Harriers Centre.

The 12km Kelly Family Spin – Registration on the day

Start Time 11am Sunday 4 October Route:- Starting from The Tullamore Harriers Centre>Rahan>Mucklagh>Tulllamore>finishing at the Tullamore Harriers. 

Registration is available on the morning of the event and is €5 or €10 per family
